A Confident Natural-Looking Smile for Missing Teeth

If you hesitate to smile because of missing teeth, we offer a fantastic solution: implants. Experience the confidence that comes with teeth that look, feel, and function just like your natural ones.

New Patients

Why Choose Dental Implants?

Dental implants do more than just replace missing teeth—they offer long-term benefits for your health, comfort, and confidence:

  • Prevent bone loss and preserve facial structure
  • Provide a natural look and feel
  • Last for many years with proper care
  • Stay securely in place without slipping like dentures

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are small titanium posts placed in your jaw to act as a foundation for a new tooth. They’re strong, durable, and designed to mimic your natural teeth—both in appearance and function. Think of them as artificial tooth roots that provide a stable base for crowns, bridges, or dentures.

The titanium screw is inserted into the jawbone and left in place for approximately three months to integrate with your bone. Once healed, we’ll attach your custom-made restoration that screws securely into the implant.

Are Implants Right for Me?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are missing one or more teeth
  • Have healthy gums and adequate bone
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Have controlled diabetes
  • Maintain good oral hygiene

At Grand Promenade Dental Centre, we look at your condition, general health, and lifestyle factors before making a recommendation. Heavy smokers, people with uncontrolled diabetes, and those with poor oral hygiene may not be good candidates for implants. We evaluate each case on an individual basis to ensure you’re getting the best results for you.

What to Expect During the Process

1. Initial Consultation and Assessment

We’ll assess the site to determine whether you’re a good candidate, considering how long the tooth has been missing and whether you require grafting.

2. 3D Scan and Treatment Planning

In straightforward cases, we’ll send you a 3D scan, then make a further assessment to review how much bone you have. The quality of the bone is also important to ensure an ideal result, both aesthetically and functionally.

3. Implant Placement

Implants are typically placed in-chair via local anaesthic or patients have the option to have IV sedation. General anaesthetic as an in-hospital option is also possible. We’ll place the titanium screw in your jawbone. Our sedation dentistry ensures your complete comfort throughout the procedure.

4. Healing and Integration Period

The implant is left to integrate with your bone for approximately 3 months. Don’t worry—we can provide a temporary crown or prosthetic during this healing period so your smile remains intact.

5. Final Restoration

We’ll take a mould to create your new tooth, crown, bridge, or denture that will attach securely to your implant.

Options Tailored to You

Our experienced dentists will review your unique situation and determine which option is best for you:

Single Tooth Implant: Perfect for replacing one missing tooth with a crown that looks and feels completely natural.

Implant-Supported Bridge: If you have two implants side by side or multiple missing teeth, a bridge can replace several teeth using fewer implants.

Implant-Supported Denture (All-on-X): If most of your teeth are compromised, we may suggest removing them and replacing them with our All-on-X solution—a full set of teeth supported by strategically placed implants. This provides a fixed, non-removable option that’s far superior to traditional dentures.

Removable Implant-Retained Denture: For those who prefer a removable option, dentures can clip securely onto implants for improved stability and confidence.

For comprehensive replacements or front teeth that affect the aesthetics of your smile, we’ll take study models first, so you can see a mock-up of what the final result will look like, either digitally or by trying on a physical mock-up.

Implant Care From a Clinician With Advanced Training

Dr. AnthonyYour dental implant procedure is overseen by Dr Anthony Giummarra (Dentist), who completed a postgraduate diploma in Dental Implantology through the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology (UK) in 2022. This additional qualification ensures a high standard of care, utilising contemporary methods and technology tailored to your specific needs.

Sedation and Aftercare

Before we place the titanium screw in your jawbone, we’ll review your options for sedation. We offer local anaesthetic, IV sedation and even in-hospital procedures, depending on your needs and comfort level.

After your procedure, we’ll give you a specific mouthwash to use. Aftercare is easier than an extraction, since there’s no open wound. Pain and discomfort are minimal. We’ll provide you with a protocol to follow for pain management and may prescribe antibiotics if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do dental implants cost in Dianella?

Implant costs vary based on your unique needs, but we’ll provide a detailed breakdown during your consultation. Health funds or payment plans may help spread the cost of treatment.

Are implants better than dentures?

Implants offer a permanent, fixed solution that looks and feels more like natural teeth. Unlike traditional dentures, implants don’t slip, click, or require adhesives, and they help preserve your jawbone.

Is the implant procedure painful?

Most patients report minimal discomfort. With our comprehensive sedation options and detailed aftercare protocols, your comfort is our priority throughout the entire process.

How long does the implant process take from start to finish?

From consultation to final crown placement, the full process typically takes 3-6 months, allowing proper healing and integration.

Will I be left without a tooth while it heals?

Not at all. We can provide a temporary crown or prosthetic during the healing period so your smile remains intact and you can eat and speak normally.

How long do implants last?

With proper care, dental implants can last a lifetime. They’re designed to be a permanent solution for missing teeth.

What makes your All-on-X different from traditional dentures?

Our All-on-X solution uses strategically placed implants to support a full arch of fixed teeth. Unlike removable dentures, these don’t move, slip, or require special cleaning routines—you care for them just like natural teeth.
